Provides an appreciation for the actual working environment of the typical MIS department within the business community. Topics include: specific areas of organization structure, organizational communication, budgeting issues, personnel hiring, evaluation and promotion, physical plant layout, controls and procedures for routine daily operation, and disaster planning. Improves the adjustment from the academic to the business environment.
